Blessing of animals

In anticipation of tomorrow’s feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, I always bless the animals in our parish on the Sunday closest to the feast of the patron of nature, ecology and animals. We did not have a photographer at hand this year, but two horses showed up, two rabbits, two cats, a rooster, my noisy cockatiel and a parakeet, plus plenty of dogs.
