Yogi-isms

Sports Yankee legend Yogi Berra died recently at the age of 90. An 18-time All-Star, Hall of Famer Berra appeared in 14 World Series as a member of the New York Yankees, and won 10 of them with his team-mates. His contributions of Major League Baseball history are incalculable, but his legacy might be even better remembered for what he contributed to the American language. And this mainly because many of the Yogi-isms or Berra-isms didn’t make any sense. Here are a few of them:
1. When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
2. You can observe a lot by just watching.
3. It ain’t over till it’s over.
4. It’s like deja vu all over again.

5. Baseball is 90 percent mental and the other half physical.
6. Always go to other people’s funerals, otherwise they won’t come to yours.
7. We made too many wrong mistakes.
8.You wouldn’t have won if we’d beaten you.

9. I usually take a two-hour nap between 1 and 4 PM.
10.The future ain’t what it used to be.
11. Slump? I ain’t in no slump.....I just ain’t hitting!
12. You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry to eat six.
