The unusual Michelangelo

The tomb of Pope Julius II by Michelangelo
We’re used to seeing paintings by Michelangelo, including the Sistine chapel ceiling and Last Judgment facade. We’re familiar also with some of his sculptures, including the Pieta, David and Moses. So these pictures will come to you as a surprise, since he also designed staircases, squares, tombs and other curiosities. But his genius is there for everyone to see, even in the simple, the curious and the unpredictable.
