Many people asked for a copy of part of my homily from last Sunday, and I share it with you today , the traditional feast of the Epiphany which is still celebrated on its original date in Italy, Spain and many Latin-American countries. Going back to the three gifts of the Kings, may I suggest to you a few gifts you can offer to God, to your families, to yourself and to others. I offer them to you as three gifts of Christmas:
There are 3 things that once gone, never come back:
- TIME, WORDS, OPPORTUNITY
3 things in life one should always strive to attain:
- HOPE, PEACE, HONESTY
3 things in life that are most valuable:
- LOVE, FRIENDS, SELF-CONFIDENCE
3 things in life that are never certain:
- SUCCESS, DREAMS, FORTUNE
3 things in life that will make you a better person:
- SINCERITY, HARD WORK, COMPASSION
3 things in life that can easily destroy a person:
- PRIDE, GREED, ANGER
3 things for a mature dialogue:
- SIT DOWN, LISTEN, THEN TALK
3 people that make every marriage happier
- THE HUSBAND, THE WIFE, GOD
3 words that can strengthen any family and home:
- THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU, I’M SORRY
3 things that keep every Catholic strong:
- EUCHARIST, CONFESSION, PRAYER
"Threes" are special now--thanks for sharing the gifts!
