Alarm Clocks

Alarm-clock, version 2000 BC
People have different times when they decide to wake up. And thanks to alarm clocks, they make it easy for us to rise and shine on time. However in some countries, roosters are a natural alarm clocks, as is the case in my native Malta. They have served as a natural alarm-clocks for thousands of years, and will continue to do so for thousands more. Screeching birds are also an annoyance to those who want to sleep a little extra. Roosters especially have a way of waking an entire neighborhood, especially if they alternate their cock-a-doodles in the early hour of the morning.
